Who We Are The Center for Therapy, Inc. was created in 2001, to bring together highly specialized professionals in the practices of occupational, physical, speech/language therapy as well as counseling services. The Center for Therapy has quickly grown to be one of the most unique pediatric therapy service providers in northwest Louisiana. Suzanne McMillian, an occupational therapist with over fourteen years experience in the pediatric population,is a founding partner in The Center for Therapy.  We are honored to be providers of pediatric therapy to your child, with highly-regarded professionals respected as specialists in their fields. Our staff members provide developmental therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and counseling services. We serve clients from birth through young adulthood. They may have mild coordination or attentional concerns or profound medical and orthopedic special needs. In addition to extensive clinical experience, our team attends continuing education workshops for certification and training to strengthen previously learned skills and become proficient with the latest treatment techniques available for your child. Our facility features the latest equipment and ample treatment space in a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. Designed for safety and to maximize therapeutic gains, The Center for Therapy offers several rooms created to provide a wide variety of sensory input, and built-in "challenges" to strengthen a child’s mind and body. Our treatment rooms are private, and we provide therapy with other children in the room only if it benefits your child. We are dedicated to providing a respectful and caring atmosphere in which your child and family can blossom. Ultimately, through our services and our partnership with you, our goal is to improve or restore your child’s health, safety, and independence in everyday life. We believe in taking the personal approach with each child and your family. We consult with you during the initial evaluation and, keep communication open with you during the treatment process to ensure the child is getting the most out of the treatment.  We also keep in touch with you to make sure the therapeutic adaptations you make at home are effective. We also believe in continued learning and sharing knowledge. Through ongoing education, we expand our professional expertise, empower families, and educate the community through seminars on areas of child development.
